Addis Ethiopian Restaurant

Addis serves traditional Ethiopian food in San Diego, located at 3643 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, CA 92104. It's a cozy, family-run establishment. Even though the operation is small, owners Fekad and Alem manage to keep their customers happy and returning with their commitment to delicious, authentic food.

Fekad and Alem, a husband-wife team, immigrated to the US from Ethiopia in 1985. Eventually, they settled in San Diego with family—a place that they say reminds them of home in the right ways, with beautiful weather and kind people. Named after the capital city of Ethiopia, the name of the restaurant is a homage to the country Fekad and Alem were born in and all of the people who shaped their love of food over the years.

Addis serves a range of traditional dishes and an extensive beverage menu, which includes traditional home-brewed Ethiopian beers and honey wines. They also offer a unique coffee ceremony made from fresh-roasted coffee.
