Description

Community Food Rescue is Montgomery County's coordinated, countywide food recovery system. This FREE training is intended for food rescue recipient organization staff and volunteers who will be actively engaged in recovering unused surplus food from food service providers. This abbreviated ServSafe training will cover 4 main areas:

1. Basic Food Safety

2. Personal Hygiene

3. Cross-Contamination prevention

4. Time & Temperature Control

Community Food Rescue guidelines will be covered and each participant will leave with the knowledge needed to safely receive food from donors, transport and deliver rescued food under proper temperature controls.

All training attendees will receive one CFR toolkit per organization to include:

An insulated cooler bag, thermometer and alcohol wipes, hand sanitizer, gloves, CFR food donation logsheets, a temperature control quick reference guide and copy of the ServSafe Employee Guide.

What if I need Spanish translation or Spanish printed materials?

Please contact Teresa Johnson asap if you need a Spanish translator for this training. We will have a limited supply of ServSafe materials in Spanish at no cost to attendee.
