Description

Dear EMEE workshop participant,

The 8th International Workshop on "Empirical Methods in Energy Economics" will be at the Department of Agricutural and Resource Economics (AREC), University of Maryland, College Park. This workshop, which follows in the tradition of very successful predecessors held in Zurich, Switzerland (2008), Jasper, Canada (2009), Guilford, England (2010), Dallas, Texas (2011), Berlin, Germany (2012), Ottawa, Canada (2013), and Aachen, Germany (2014), is intended to provide a forum for the development and application of empirical methods in energy economics. Details about these previous workshops, along with information about joining the EMEE Network (at no cost), can be found on the EMEE homepage at www.emee.ethz.ch.

The registration form requires payment by credit card. If you would like to pay by check, please complete the registration form (do not submit the form electronically), save a copy of the form, and forward that form to sshelton@umd.edu. You will also need to mail the form and check made payable to Univerisity of Maryland to:

You have the option to purchase more than one ticket. Be sure to include each individual name as well dietary restrictions or requirements on the registration form.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Marriot Hotel on the campus of University of Maryland. They are "cozy king" rooms, which means that they have a king-size bed and that they are relatively compact (by US standards). The rate is $149 per night. Please note that the Marriot is a smoke-free facility. Please tell us if you wish to reserve one or more rooms, for how many nights, and the arrivial and departure dates. If you prefer to stay elsewhere, you are welcome to do so. We can provide the names of hotels in Washington, DC or elsewhere.
