Please join us on May 28, 2015 for a Your Money, Your Goals webinar. Your Money, Your Goals is a tool kit that social services workers can use to help their clients set goals, choose financial products an build skills in managing money, credit and debt.

Social services staff can use the toolkit to help clients:

  • Make spending decision that can help them reach their goals
  • Order a fix credit reports
  • Avoid tracks and traps as they choose financial products
  • Make decisions about repaying debts and taking on new debt
  • Keep track of their income and bills
  • Decide if they need a checking account and understand what they need to open one.

Your Money, Your Goals was created by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The training sessions and webinar will be delivered by University of Minnesota Extension, Center for Family Development and Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).

The CFPB developed this toolkit to help direct service providers offer high quality, unbiased financial information and tools for individuals and families to become financially empowered. At the end of this training, you will feel confident in using these tools to help increase the financial knowledge and skills of the individuals and families your work with each day. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
