University of Florida/IFAS Extension Lake County

This 3 part series takes place on Wednesdays: April 29, May 6 
and May 13. Please plan on attending all 3 classes.
 
  The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Lake County is hosting the “Homeowner Education Landscape Program” a nine hour educational series on April 29th, May 6th, and May 13th from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. The classes will be presented by Brooke Moffis and Jim Davis both UF/IFAS Extension Agents and Master Gardener Steve Guch.
 Online registration for the class is available for $30.  Participants are required to attend all three classes which will address frequently asked questions and problems in the home landscape.  The series is being offered to give participants both classroom and hands-on training on how to calibrate a fertilizer spreader, install a micro-irrigation system, and select plant materials.  Participants will receive micro-irrigation supplies and a Plant Selection and Landscape Design Guide.
