Am I permitted to have a male partner or spouse accompany me?

This retreat is designed for women veterans, featuring breakout sessions, guest speakers, physical activities, and discussions relevant to your experiences. Male battle buddies are welcome as supportive participants. We ask that everyone approach sessions and activities with sensitivity and respect

May I invite my friend, even though she is not a veteran?

Absolutely! This weekend is a celebration of support, open to interpretation. It is a precious opportunity to rejuvenate your spirit, relax, and forge meaningful connections. Your battle buddy is the perfect companion for this journey.

What documentation should I bring with me? Is my identification or DD214 required?

The WDVA does not mandate presenting your DD214 at check-in. However, we strongly encourage advance registration to enhance our administrative preparations.

What additional items should I bring?

Consider bringing a yoga mat, sunblock, a beach towel for the pool, bug spray, a light jacket for the Friday evening fire, and outdoor shoes, as they may gather dust.

Are children welcome to attend?

Children are welcome to join the experience! However, those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Enjoy the moment, but please be aware that discussions and content may contain adult themes.

Is there an associated fee for the retreat?

The WDVA, Trinity Equestrian Center, and other generous community partners cover all costs for our inspiring two-day retreat, including venue, meals, activities, and speakers. Participants only need to handle their own lodging and travel expenses, which helps foster a truly transformative experience
