Trauma-sensitive yoga (TSY) is yoga taught with heightened awareness of how the body holds trauma and stress. TSY’s aim is to start freeing the body of held trauma and its symptoms.
Each session will start with some education around trauma, the brain and the body in efforts to validate one’s experience and shed some light on what is happening when stress and trauma go unaddressed.
Each session will include about an hour of slow, gentle yoga that will slightly build in strength as the series progresses.
This series is for EVERYONE. We all hold stress and trauma in our bodies (especially now, we are all living with a new, heightened baseline of stress because of how the pandemic and racial reckonings have affected us).
This series is for those who’ve experienced any type of trauma and/or heightened stress.
Please ensure you can attend all sessions. Once the series has started, it is a closed group, you cannot join late. Thank you!
