The Engine

AI+X Meetup returns to Kendall Square this summer.​Join founders, investors, researchers, educators, students, and local AI builders at The Engine — home to MIT spin-off tough tech startups — for an evening on how AI is moving from models and demos into real industries.

This summer, we’ll focus on<h4>​AI deployment: what’s actually being built, tested, adopted, and scaled across business, healthcare, finance, cybersecurity, robotics, and foundation models.</h4>​Expect short talks, panels, team demos, global student voices, open networking, beverages, light bites, and music.

<h3>Who Will Be There</h3><ul><li>​MIT &amp; Harvard networks Alumni, affiliates, spin-off founders, researchers, faculty, and students across the Kendall Square ecosystem.</li><li>​Investors &amp; ecosystem partners VCs, angels, accelerators, innovation teams, and partners looking for emerging AI+X talent, projects, and university-born ideas.</li><li>​Industry experts &amp; educators People applying AI across business, healthcare, finance, cybersecurity, robotics, education, and other real-world fields.</li><li>​Cambridge AI builders Founders, operators, technical teams, and local AI people building across AI, tough tech, and real-world deployment.</li><li>​Global student leaders Students, project teams, and club leaders from Boston, Singapore, Korea, the UAE, the UK, Japan, China, and beyond.</li></ul> ​Past speakers have included leaders and experts from SpaceX, Apple, MIT Open Learning, Harvard Innovation Labs, MIT Media Lab, Novartis, LabCentral and beyond.​Max capacity: 200 seats

​(Seika joined BlendED’s AI+X Learning Program in early 2025 and has since transferred from Tokyo to Boston, where she is continuing her academic and AI+X journey.)​Beverages + light bites + Music <h3>About BlendED</h3>​BlendED started its AI+X project-based learning initiative in early 2019.​Working with MIT and Harvard spin-off founders, researchers, faculty, and industry experts, BlendED select ~200 students each year from global universities including the National University of Singapore, the University of Tokyo, UCL, Peking University, and institutions across 20+ countries.​Through real-world projects, internships, mentorship, and global networking, BlendED helps students build portfolios that are recognized by global leading admissions offices, recruiters, founders, and industry partners. <h3>About AI+X Global Talent Community</h3>​The AI+X Global Talent Community, or GTC, is a student-led global ecosystem empowered by BlendED.​GTC brings together learners, researchers, experts, student clubs, and institutions across 20+ countries to build a more inclusive, interdisciplinary, and globally connected AI future.​Founding GTC members are based in Korea, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Pakistan, Mexico, and beyond.
