Join us near Kinnick Stadium as we broadcast the Kentucky Derby with the children's hospital in the background! All proceeds raised will go towards the Northwestern Mutual Eastern Iowa's Nursing Support Fund to support the nurses on the pediatric oncology floor at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
This one of a kind fund gives nurses direct access and full discretion on how the proceeds are used. If they see a family in need or personally experience a loss and just need a coffee break, there's no red tape or wait! In previous years, proceeds from The Kinnick Derby funded wellness retreats, morale-boosting events, and a lunch cart to prevent commonly skipped meals. Since the creation of this fund in 2022, burses leaving due to burnout has decreased significantly!
