Join us for The Ashenda Girl Book Release Event at ECDC!
This in-person celebration brings together storytelling, culture, and community. Inspired by the Ashenda festival, the event will feature traditional music, food, fashion, and a live reading by the author.
Families are encouraged to dress their little girls in beautiful traditional outfits and enjoy the joy of Ashenda through dance, a coffee ceremony, and more.
Proceeds from book sales will support girls in Sudan and refugee camps — helping them celebrate Ashenda and providing school supplies, shoes, and essential needs.
