Student Veteran Career Summit

Are you looking to get an edge on the competition when searching for a new career?

This career summit is focused on you, the student veteran, and is what you need to take your career to the next level. By attending this free summit you will receive the skills needed to energize your career. The event will begin on Friday, October 7th, with registration at 3:30 pm, followed by a welcome reception with employers at 4:30 pm. On Saturday, October 8th, there will be a full-day workshop from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm.

This event is open to student veterans only. You must register on Eventbrite in order to participate.

Please bring your laptop computer with you to the event. Computers will be required during a portion of the workshop on Saturday. There are a limited number of laptops available for those participants who do not own one. Additionally, you must bring a mobile phone with you to the event, as a PIN sent to your phone will be required to access the DePaul Center’s wireless network.

Suggested attire for both days of the Summit is business casual.

Free parking vouchers are available for the garage at 17 E. Adams St. If you would like a free parking voucher, please submit your request to veterans@cael.org by Thursday, October 6th.

We have a limited number of hotel rooms available free of charge for participants who live outside of the greater Chicagoland area (hour and a half commute or greater). You may need to share a room with another participant should we have a significant number of out-of-town guests register for the summit. We will also provide a stipend to cover your mileage and parking costs for the drive to Chicago.

We ask that you select the visiting participant ticket type on the registration page if you are from outside of the greater Chicagoland area and will need hotel accommodations.

Important: Should you need overnight accommodations, you will be required to complete a credit card authorization form to confirm your registration. Your card will be charged for the full cost of your reservation if you cancel after the September 13th cutoff date. Should you need to cancel, there will be no charges to you card as long as you notify us by September 13th.
