<h3>2024 Artist-in-Residence Talk: Stephanie Cardon</h3>RSVP now. Space is limited.Join us on Saturday, August 24 to learn more about The Park's 2024 Artist-in-Residence Stephanie Cardon. A visual artist, Cardon will talk about her climate-aware creative practice, show examples of her work and share a sampling of the materials she has used in sculptures she sketched -- a process of playing and considering form and material that may become a final piece -- at Cold Hollow Sculpture Park. She will also discuss the artistic and philosophical transition in her practice from recycled materials to foraged, wild, reclaimed and biodegradable ones.About Stephanie Cardon: Originally from France, Cardon is a Boston-based artist whose work combines and contrasts materials and colors that commonly belong to the realm of construction and infrastructure. Currently, her work is preoccupied with the emotional and social impact of ecological loss and climate change. Cardon will be at the Park for two residency periods: July 20-28 and August 24-September 1. FAQsWhat are my transport/parking options getting to the event?Cold Hollow Sculpture Park address is 4280 Boston Post Road, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450. CHSP is not far from Burlington and Montreal. Space limited - we encourge carpooling!Will the event take place rain or shine?Yes! The event is outdoors and will take place in most weather except severe rain or thunder storms. In the case of severe weather, we will hold the event on Sunday, August 25 at 2 p.m. If there are any changes to the date, we will email all who have RSVP'd here and post updates on our website and social media.Are there restrooms onsite?A singe-stall ADA port-o-let is located at the entrance of the Park, situated just behind the Welcome Barn.What can/can't I bring to the event?We provide:<ul><li>Maps and information</li><li>A small number of umbrellas for walking around the park in sun and drizzle</li><li>Parking onsite</li></ul>We suggest you bring the following if you plan to tour the park before or after the event:<ul><li>Lawn chairs - we have a limited number of folding chairs onsite</li><li>Bug repellant</li><li>Umbrella if sprinkling</li><li>Sturdy walking shoes</li><li>Sunhat and/or umbrella for sun</li><li>Extra layer</li><li>Camera and/or journal</li><li>All food and drink for personal consumption. We recommend picnic supplies.
