Shibori and Indigo Dyeing: Color Pigments from Plants

Experience the magic of indigo and expand your connection to plants. In this immersive workshop hosted in collaboration with Fiber Artists Miami Association (FAMA), you will learn about the essence of Indigo, Kumo “spider” Shibori, and Arashi Shibori techniques. Dyeing with indigo requires patience, it is a slow process with unexpected results that allow you to appreciate the beauty of imperfection. Please wear comfortable clothing, some aspects of this workshop may take place outdoors.

Apply techniques for tying fabrics to create patterns using indigo dye.

Pinecrest Gardens, South Florida’s Cultural Arts Park, is a premier venue for the arts, education, environmental conservation and preservation.
