The Science Based Targets initiative invites you to Road Testing Workshop: SBT Methods for Financial Institutions.

The workshop will be held in conjunction with Climate Week NYC 2019 and the United Nations Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit.

Please register at your earliest convenience. Capacity is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrants must be able to attend in person. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.


Workshop objectives:


  • Inform financial institutions and other stakeholders on the feedback received through the SBTi method road-testing process for financial institutions;

  • Gather detailed additional feedback from road testers on draft science-based target-setting methods for financial institutions;

  • Collect input on options to address key technical issues such as data availability and accuracy, approaches to insure targets lead to GHG emissions reductions, and value of emissions-based and capacity-based metrics for target setting and internal decision-making.
