Do I need to submit a decklist? If so, when and how should it be submitted (paper, online form)?

Decklists are required for any tournament awarding $1,000 or more in value. Decklist enrollment information can be found on the event site ppgeventmanagement.com

What items should I bring besides my deck (e.g., playmat, dice, counters, pen, paper, sleeves)?

Players are responsible for ensuring they bring all relevant game pieces with them. Sleeves and Deckboxes can typically be found at our vendor booth, but it is your responsibility to be compliant with all tournament policy.

What time does the venue open?

The Pro-Play Summit opens it's doors at 9:00 AM Local Time and closes at 8:00 PM.

Where do I check in upon arrival?

What happens if I arrive late for my event?

If you are arriving late for your event, please visit our judge headquarters and speak with the scorekeeper immediately. In most cases, you were dropped during the players meeting.

Is there a player meeting before the first round?

Accepted Answer

Yes - Any event offering more than $1,000 in value has a players meeting associated. The players meeting gives the players an opportunity to understand critical information from the head judge and tournament organizer.

How many rounds of Swiss are planned?

The number of rounds of swiss depends on the final attendance of the event. Typically we can project a number based on event capacity, though this may be increased if we expand capacity. Please visit our event page for the most recent information. ppgeventmanagement.com

Question 12

How does the pairing system work?

Accepted Answer

A Swiss-system tournament is a non-eliminating tournament format that pairs using a set of rules designed to ensure that each competitor plays opponents with a similar running score,  but does not play the same opponent more than once.

Can I bring my own food and drinks into the playing area?

Accepted Answer

Players are allowed to bring outside food and drinks and are not required to purchase from venue concessions. Venue concessions are an accessible convenience for players!

Is there Wi-Fi available for attendees? Is there a password?

What are the rules for buying/selling between players?

Buying and Selling is strictly prohibited unless with an authorized vendor. Players found buying  or selling cards will be removed from the venue.

Are there charging stations for phones or other electronic devices?

Due to costs of power at this venue, we are not able to offer accessible charging stations. Please plan accordingly by charging your cell phone before arrival AND bringing a power supply battery and all necessary cables with you!

Is there seating available for spectators?

Due to venue limitations, there may not be open seating accessible to those who are not actively participating in events. If there are free spaces, we will not ask you to move unless an event is about to begin!

What are the consequences for cheating, collusion, or unsportsmanlike conduct?

All tournaments follow official tournament policy. Cheating is strictly enforced - you will not only be removed from the venue, but banned from all future Pro-Play Games events.

What is the policy on spectators interacting with players during matches?

Accepted Answer

Spectators must remain at least 5 feet away from active matches and are not allowed to interact in any way that violates tournament policy.

Are photos or video recordings allowed in the tournament area? Are there restrictions?

Accepted Answer

Photos and Video recordings are allowed, but may not disturb, distract, or interrupt other players gameplay or perceived enjoyment of this event.

Who should I contact in case of a non-game related issue or emergency?

Please see the tournament organizers at the judge headquarters immediately in the case of an emergency.

Is there first aid available on site?

Yes, the tournament organizers as well as any staff member can help you locate basic first aid at any Pro-Play Games event.

When and where will the final tournament results and standings be posted?

ppgeventmanagement.com/tournament-results features the most recent tournament reports - typically posted within 48 business hours from time of event completion. For more post-event information, faster, please follow us on social media!
