What's the format of this event?

This is an hour-long virtual event. After two short presentations from NWAC and Blackbird Mountain Guides, we'll have a short Q&A with our speakers. SlabLab will then facilitate a chance to meet a bunch of potential backcountry partners based on common goals and approaches.

The event is free, with a suggested donation of $5-$20

Who is this event for? What experience level is it a fit for?

Anyone interested in spring skiing in the PNW. It will be a nice intro for beginners but includes tips and reminders valuable for seasoned athletes. You can use the partner "speed meeting" to find partners for this spring season or later.

Do I need to be a SlabLab member to attend?

No, this event is open to anyone. In fact you can get a trial and discount to the SlabLab partner network to keep meeting compatible backcountry partners after the event.
