About this event

Every other month, on the first Friday, five (5) Southwest Michigan-based businesses will pitch live to three (3) judges for $10,000 equity-free capital, partnership, customers, and free resources to start or grow their idea. Attendees can engage and vote for their favorite pitch, The People's Favorite walks away with $1,000.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the venue?

Our address is 229 E. Michigan Ave. Suite 335, Kalamazoo 49008. The entrance door is under a black awning with "Main Street East" on the doors located in the alley between Barrio and The Crafted Cooper. You can take the elevator or stairs to the third floor.

Do you have parking?

Street parking is free after 5 pm, and several parking garages are in the area. Startup Zoo does not validate parking if you choose to utilize the garages.

How can I get involved?

Is your space accessible?

Yes! The building has an elevator, doors should be open, and a barrier-free access to the space for wheelchair users. We do not have an ASL interpreter, however, we recommend utilizing a voice text transcription app called, "BeAware Deaf Assistant" that can be downloaded on your mobile device.
