The Oakland Civic Orchestra presents Season FInale, “Legends” featuring Alex Strachan in the exciting world premiere of Legend: Concerto for Horn and Orchestra by composer-in-residence Nikolaus Umar Durr. Bookended by Jean Sibelius’ legendary Symphony No. 5 and the Nocturne from his King Christian Suite No 2, the program also features the colorful Scarlet Sculptures by emerging Australian composer, Naomi Dodd.
The concert is on Sunday, April 27 at 4:00 pm, at Valley Center for the Arts, 3500 Mountain Blvd. in Oakland.
