McDONOUGH, GA (March 10, 2025) – Get ready to be uplifted and inspired as Young Dreamers International proudly announces the 2nd Annual McDonough International Gospel Festival, a free community celebration featuring award-winning gospel artist Canton Jones. This family-friendly event will occur on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander Park West, located at 110 Jonesboro Road in McDonough, Georgia. The festival promises to be a day filled with powerful music, community connection, and positive energy. Headliner Canton Jones, known for his dynamic performances and chart-topping hits like "Window," "Love Song," and "Be Blessed," brings his unique blend of gospel, hip-hop, and R&B to the stage. With multiple Stellar Gospel Music Award nominations, Kingdom Choice Awards, and over two decades of inspiring audiences worldwide, Jones continues to break barriers in contemporary gospel music. The celebration will also showcase talented local artists and feature the debut performance of the first-ever International McDonough Children's Choir. Attendees can also enjoy food from local vendors, family activities, and opportunities to learn more about Young Dreamers International's impactful work in leadership development, mental health resources, and cultural enrichment for young men. "We're thrilled to bring the McDonough International Gospel Festival back for its second year, creating a space where our community can come together in celebration and joy," said Samantha Samuels, CEO & Founder of Young Dreamers International. "This event perfectly aligns with our mission of empowering Black and Brown boys and young men while fostering positive community connections." The City of McDonough is proud to serve as an official sponsor of this meaningful event. The Second Annual International Gospel Fest means so much to McDonough. It’s more than just a music event, it’s a celebration of faith, culture, and community. Gospel music has a way of bringing people together, uplifting spirits, and creating a sense of unity, and that’s exactly what this festival does for our city. It also shines a light on McDonough as a welcoming and inclusive place, where we honor our heritage while embracing diversity. Plus, events like this help support our local businesses and bring visitors to experience everything our city has to offer. Keeping this tradition going is a way for us to celebrate what makes McDonough special—faith, music, and a strong sense of community," said Mayor Sandra Vincent.
