Join ESF for a guided kayaking trip led by Dash Dunkell, a seasoned naturalist and ESF’s Stewardship Director. Dash will share information on the native wildlife we encounter, and you’ll learn about the latest habitat restoration projects taking place at Elkhorn Slough.
This event is part of Elkhorn Forever, ESF’s $12M conservation campaign to keep Elkhorn Slough healthy and sustainable for future generations. We won’t be making any asks at this event, but we will share more about how Elkhorn Forever is allowing us to scale our conservation work, protect more land, and restore more habitat around the watershed.
Registering in advance is mandatory. Our meeting location will be included with your registration confirmation email. Registered attendees should plan to arrive by 9:00 for check-in and to suit up. At 9:30 we will begin orientation, and the kayaking trip will begin promptly at 10:00.
The kayak shop we're partnering with will provide double kayaks, life vests, backrests, paddles, and optional splash jackets and pants.
Attendance for this event will be capped, and we expect capacity will be reached.
All minors 18 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and must be registered in advance. All children aged 5-12 years must be in a double kayak with their parent or legal guardian. The maximum weight per person is 250lbs. Please reach out to juan@elkhornslough.org if you have any questions.
