To ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and community, all personnel involved in the hospital decontamination this refresher training ensures hospital staff are prepared to effectively respond to hazardous material incidents while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance. This session will review essential decontamination procedures, reinforce best practices, and provide review to maintain readiness for hazardous material incidents.

Training Objectives:

  • Understand Hazardous Agents
  • Learn Exposure and Contamination Principles
  • Review Decontamination Methods and Procedures
  • Review triage procedures and patient management during a contamination event.
  • Reinforce knowledge of decontamination protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Establish and operate a decontamination site.
  • Effective Communication and Patient Support

Who Should Attend: All designated hospital decontamination team members, emergency department staff, security personnel, and any additional staff involved in hazardous material response.
