Salem has worked its way into Hollywood as hundreds of TV shows and movies have referenced our witch hysteria and many have been shot on location here in our wonderful city. You will be surprised which movies were here and they are not all about our notorious past. Moviemakers love our dramatic architecture, picturesque waterfront and historic streets. We’ll bring you around to the locations and name the TV show or movie as well as the actors and what they did. Then when you watch the movie again, you’ll recognize those locations.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Our tours run rain or shine. We only cancel if the governor issues a State of Emergency. Watch the weather and prepare accordingly. Keep in mind that it may not be raining in Salem if it is raining in Boston, Cape Cod or NH. Salem's weather pattern is different (or it's the witches protecting us).

How easy are the tours to navigate?

Our tours can pose challenges for participants with mobility and accessibility concerns. Each participant must be able to complete the one-mile tour in 90 minutes. As Salem is a historical city, there are narrow and uneven sidewalks, bricks, cobblestones & stairs. Crowds can add to this challenge.

How long is the tour in time and distance?

The tour is 90 minutes in length and the distance is about one mile. We make 6-8 stops along the route for about 10 minutes each.
