Floriography Series III- Workshop #4 with Talo Kawasaki
Mark your calendars for our next origami workshop!
We will be welcoming back visual artist and origami expert Talo Kawasaki (@talo.kawasaki) to share his knowlegde of origami.
Talo Kawasaki is a Brooklyn-based artist and educator whose passion for origami has blossomed from a pastime to a serious discipline for about 15 years. This has involved teaching in schools, museums, and conferences; creating his own origami as published models; and producing art with his paper folding: often as a designer for the American Museum of Natural History's Origami Holiday Tree; as a "wrangler" for props for regional productions of "Animals Out of Paper,"; and a solo exhibition of painted origami in 2018.
Beginner-friendly and open to all, you’ll leave this workshop with a one-of-a-kind piece and a greater understanding of the art of origami.
This first workshop of the year will take place on February 1st, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm.
Tickets are now available. We will be working on folding paper into an anthurium and more. We look forward to seeing you!
Note, all necessary supplies are included in the ticket price. Light refreshments will also be provided.
