Increase your knowledge and skill with hand tools in this information packed two hour class. We will cover work benches, chisels and planes, saws (including the backsaw, panel saw, dovetail saw & pull saws), marking tools, specialty planes and scrapers and sharpening options. You'll leave with a newfound appreciation for what hand tools can do! All participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Consider 1 on 1 private instruction. Email us separately at store44@rockler.com to let us know what you're interested in learning and we will tailor a 3 hour class to your exact needs. Frequently asked questions
This class requires the use of power tools, which requires the attendee to be 14 years or older. Attendees below 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entire class. If a parent or legal guardian is required to attend, only 1 ticket is required.
Safety glasses or face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and dust respirators will be provided free of charge as needed. No loose clothing should be worn, long sleeves should be rolled up, long hair should be tied back. No open-toed shoes can be worn during classes.
