On April 24, 2025 we will gather for a special night of awareness, remembrance and the pain of injustice. Just a week before I enter a DV felony trial of the state vs a previous relationship, we will gather for a pep rally of Regardless. Regardless of the jury verdict, I know what I will not allow again. Regardless of the fear, I will raise my voice. Regardless of the clarity, I know my truth.
My intention at this event is to give voice to those who couldn't find the strength to share. To speak for those who are still falling victim to silence, manipulation and fear. To raise the spotlight on the most painful events that have occurred in my life and make clear that I too never thought I would end up here. And, to hopefully have enough net proceeds to donate to Peace House; who support DV victims daily. May another seeking soul, who found the courage to leave, receive this profound and necessary support.
Safety is our birth right. Fostering that for ourselves is our responsibility.
In the music video to "When I Leave You" that will premier at the event, I am wearing the wedding dress from my wedding night in which I hit the pavement at 80mph before the motorcycle flew off a cliff. It is bound to be moving event!
Loving yourself is the first step to never finding yourself in a similar story. May this night remind you of the sacred bond between you and your higher self, the self respect you deserve to demand and the Power you hold.
