Double headliners coming your way via Chicago and Berlin. We're excited to be teaming up with our Bottom Forty friends to present the return of both Sassmouth and La Fraicheur to our fair city. Sassmouth is a Smartbar resident and favorite here in Seattle that has already won over many of our hearts. She's rocked Flammable and a few other parties across town, each time bringing a fresh style. La Fraicheur has already made her impression last year by rocking a 6 hour warehouse set with the Bottom Forty crew. Each of these ladies by themselves would be enough to justify a rocking night, so we're feeling a bit spoiled that we get to enjoy them both at one party. One of the fascinating creatures that our Planet houses is the ever-elusive Sassmouth. Fortunately, the Planet Chicago recording crew caught some sounds from her natural habitat, and we just finished listening to the entire Sassmouth ‘Collected Mixes’ and ‘Selected Productions.’ The music explores all aspects of our Planet. Mind the abundant basslines, dazzling melodies, and unparalleled orchestral score. I was absolutely gobsmacked from start to finish indeed!
As of her ‘god particle’ label launch in early 2013, and ‘Planet Chicago’ club night launch at the legendary ‘Smartbar’ in early 2014 where she continues her Chicago residency, one can say that she is quite simply the inimitable nature/wildlife/DJ/producer. Following the similarly paramount achievement of being enlisted as a resident for the San Francisco based ‘As You Like It’ production group in early 2013, this colossal cephalopod continued to so sensibly organize each and every impromptu mix whilst covering specific genre regions and/or habitats (deep oceans, techno, Great Lakes, house, shallow seas, electro, urban rivers, experimental, etc.) until the entire Planet was magnificently represented by the most astonishing sounds you’ve ever experienced from the comforts of home, club, or NBFC underground party.

For over a decade now as a DJ - first in Paris, then Montreal and now in Berlin - La Fraicheur has been brewing her own blend of Deep House & Techno beats sprinkled with tropical soulful Bass & Booty sounds when the mood strikes her. Marathon DJ, part of the Female:Pressure network, she can go on for countless hours, running the gamut from classics to this new song released two hours ago... She is a resident in Berlin's reknowned Wilde Renate & Mensch Meier.
Now she's expanding her craft by producing her own music, and starting 2016 with an armful of EPs ranging from ravy epic tech house to dark pumping electro, spacious open air deep house to melancholic electronica. She has toured in France, Germany, USA East & West Coasts, Canada,Mexico, Japan, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, Slovenia etc including at famed clubs Tresor, About Blank, KitKat Club, Prince Charles, Kater Holzig, Wilde Renate (Berlin) Showcase, Social Club, Nouveau Casino, Pulp, Batofar, Machine du Moulin Rouge (Paris), Mono (Mexico) or Trump Room (Tokyo) La Fraicheur hosted radioshows on Radio Campus France, Berlin Community Radio, Reboot.fm,CKUTMontreal, Frission & Sceen.
