We offer the public an admission-free, immersive art experience in a beautiful northern Vermont setting. Visitors can walk among and through 50+ sculptures spanning four decades by artistDavid Stromeyerand participate in programming that explores the intersection of intellectual and creative pursuits.

Join us in the Park for a series of FREE public programs featuring guest presenters in the arts, sciences, and humanities, who will share with us their unique perspectives on a central topic.

As we explore the ways in which new high-tech tools seem familiar or jarring, we continue to discover aspects of what it means to be human, as writers and readers, creators and consumers. What is poetry — and how does a machine write it?Join us on Saturday, July 16 at 2pm when we consider creative making across the human-machine divide, or lack thereof. Dan Rockmore, a professor of mathematics and computer science and Director of the Neukom Institute for Computational Science at Dartmouth College, and David Stromeyer, Cold Hollow Sculpture Park co-founder and artist explore this wide territory in a conversation moderated by Rosemary Gill, CHSP Executive Director.This is the second program in our five-part series How We Make Things. He lives in New Hampshire with his family, and golden retriever.

FAQsWhat are my transport/parking options getting to the event?Cold Hollow Sculpture Park address is 4280 Boston Post Road, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450. CHSP is not far from Burlington and Montreal.  Please go to <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/place/4280+Boston+Post+Rd+Enosburg+Falls+VT" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Google Maps</a> for specific directions. Approaching on the Boston Post Road, from north or south, the<a href="http://www.coldhollowsculpturepark.com/images/chsp_sign_sculpture.jpg" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> CHSP concrete sculpture</a> on the west side of the road indicates our driveway.There is free parking.Will the event take place rain or shine?Yes! The event will take place on Saturday, July 16 in all weather except severe thunder storms. In the case of severe weather, we will hold the event on Sunday, July 17.  If there are any changes to the date, we will email all who have RSVP'd here and post updates on our website and social media.What can/can't I bring to the event?We provide:<ul><li>Plenty of space to enjoy original, live art and be socially distanced!</li><li>Port-a-potty facilities</li><li>Maps and information</li><li>A small number of umbrellas</li><li>Parking</li><li>Cold beverages after the event</li></ul>We suggest you bring the following:<ul><li>Sturdy walking shoes </li><li>Sunhat and/or umbrella</li><li>Extra layer</li><li>Camera and/or journal</li><li>All food and drink for personal consumption. We recommend picnic supplies. We encourage you to come early or stay after the event, tour the park, eat, drink and be merry.</li><li>Please pack out all trash.</li></ul>Please do not bring:<ul><li>Pets of any kind (on or off leash).
