Frequently asked questions

Why has the date of the tour changed?

We have had increasingly warm weather during the month of June. So, we moved the date of the tour a few weeks ahead to keep visitors more comfortable while exploring outside.

Can I purchase tickets on the day of the event or in person somewhere?

Ticket sales are limited and will now be online to minimize paper waste. This also allows us to send you updates before the tour, as well as more useful gardening information at tips! Day of tickets only if still available. We recommend you get yours as soon as possible.

Why has the theme changed?

As water and resources become more scarce and expensive, our mission is to help passionate growers make the shift toward a more sustainable future in home growing. We want to give you education and inspiration that will save you water, time and money! Its a win win for you and the environment!

What do I get out of my ticket purchase?

In addition to viewing these unique sites, you will receive a commemorative refillable water bottle, drink tickets to participating restaurants/bars in Corrales, access to educational talks at the library, and newsletters with more information that can help you achieve success in your garden.

After the tour, how can I get more information about sustainable gardening?

We will be accompanied by the Sandoval Extension Master Gardeners. They will provide you with helpful information during the tour and point you in the direction to more resources you can access after.

Will there be food, water and restrooms?

There will be stations to refill your water bottles for free marked on your maps. We will also mark restroom and parking locations. We encourage you to stick around Corrales after the tour and try some of our amazing local restaurants!

Is the tour family friendly?

Bring your friends and family. However, please be mindful that you will be visiting residential properties. We ask that you remain kind, courteous and respectful to these gracious hosts for welcoming you and others into their properties. One of the sites has uneven walking surfaces.

Are these locations public venues that can be visited in the future.

No. These properties are residential and private. The locations will be given out to ticket holders only, just before the tour.
