Frequently asked questions

Why are the Girl Scouts hosting this event?

Junior Girl Scouts from Saco & Biddeford Troop 1274 created this event for their Bronze Award to address bullying and bring the community together.

What is the Bronze Award?

It’s the highest award Junior Girl Scouts can earn. It involves identifying a community issue and taking action to make a difference.

Why did they choose a Bingo night?

They wanted a fun, welcoming way to connect all ages. Bingo is easy, friendly, and helps spark conversation and community spirit.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome! This event is family-friendly and open to all ages and backgrounds. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Is this event really free?

Yes! There’s no cost to attend — just bring yourself, your neighbors, and your favorite childhood candy to share. Girl Scouts Troop 1274 is hosting the event with volunteers and funds they raised selling cookies.

What does the optional donation support?

100% of your donation goes directly to our troop’s activities and programming. Our troop is entirely volunteer-run, so every dollar helps fund things like supplies, badges, community service projects, and special events for the scouts. Your support helps us create meaningful experiences for the kids

Do I need to bring anything?

If you can, bring a bag of your favorite childhood candy to add to the Candy Salad. Otherwise, just bring yourself and your bingo spirit.

What’s a "Candy Salad"?

It’s a big bowl of mixed childhood candies brought by attendees to share at each table. Think of it like a candy potluck infused with nostalgia (and hopefully storytelling)!

What if I can’t attend after registering?

Please cancel your ticket so we can open up space for others.
