Course Overview:

The Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) program, to be delivered virtually by Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell, P.C. (CBM) on May 20-21, 2025, is a two-day training and exam-based certification program that provides not-for-profit bookkeepers, staff accountants, consultants, executives and other non-CPA professionals with the rigorous professional development they need to be effective financial managers for their not-for-profit employers or clients. Upon completion of the program, eligible participants can apply to receive approximately 8-12 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

Eligibility:

Eligible applicants must have at least 18 months of experience in a financial position within a not-for-profit organization and must submit a letter of attestation from a past or present employer to verify work experience. Verification letters may be submitted to CBM's CNAP administration team via email at cnap@cbmcpa.com.

Participants who do not yet have 18 months of experience may still participate but will not be issued a certificate of completion until they have reached that benchmark and have submitted a verification letter.

How to Participate - Virtual Training:

The May 20-21, 2025 training will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. Details on how to join the session will be forthcoming to registants via email closer to the training date.

Accreditation Credit:

CBM is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: https://www.nasbaregistry.org/.

Refund Policy:

Refunds may be requested up to 1 full day before the training program begins. The refunded amount will not include the administrative fee charged during the original registration process.

Cancellation Policy:

If the presentation is cancelled or rescheduled, CBM’s CNAP administrator, Caitlin O’Neal will immediately contact participants.

Complaint Resolution Policy:

Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell will make every effort to provide a satisfying, educational program. However, should a participant need to express a concern or complaint, please direct it to Caitlin O’Neal at cnap@cbmcpa.com. She will work to amend the situation as quickly as possible.
