How do I get the food and drink voucher, and what are the other rewards?

Does booking on the ride include a ticket to the match?

Accepted Answer

No. You need to purchase a match ticket separately through the usual routes.

Do I need to join a guided-bike ride to get the food and drink voucher and kids goody bag?

Accepted Answer

Why do I need to book in advance for the guided-rides?

Accepted Answer

Professional ride-leaders will lead these rides. They are required to work to a certain ratio of ride-leaders per fans. We  need to know numbers in advance to ensure we have the correct numbers of ride-leaders in place

Can I take my bicycle on the tube or train and then join you?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at weekends you can take a bicycle on trains, though please avoid Kew Bridge station at peak times on match-days. Please also refer in advance to TfL: 'Cycles on public transport' webpage and the South Western Railways 'Taking Bikes on Trains' webpage.

What exact routes are you taking?

Accepted Answer

These are at: bit.ly/bikebeesroutes. The Acton and Richmond rides end at the club's Chiswick Roundabout bike parking location. Ealing and Hounslow rides end at the club's Brentford Studios location. See the club 'Travel To the Stadium' page for more on parking facilities.

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Cycle helmets are not compulsory to wear, but some choose to do so. These will be short rides at a gentle pace. Wear what usually works best for you on a matchday. Transport for London has a webpage on cycling safety: https://tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/safety/road-safety-advice/cycling

Who are Sustaina-Bees, and who are Gapped?

Sustaina-Bees is an independent supporters' group for Brentford fans with knowledge or interest in the environment. Gapped offers British Cycling-endorsed professional services to help people develop their riding abilities.

I'm a Brentford fan interested in sustainability issues. How do I get involved?

Start by joining our Facebook group at: bit.ly/sustainabees and you will join Brentford fans with knowledge and concern about environmental issues. We want to engage all stakeholders from across our community in an open conversation about the sustainability journey the club and fans are on.

Why these four locations and not others?

Accepted Answer

Please tell us if you have suggestions for other starting points and/or routes. We are all ears. These four were chosen based on being town centres with proximity to the ground.

Will the rides go ahead whatever the weather?

Accepted Answer

We expect all rides will still go ahead. However, if there are any official weather warnings rides will be cancelled.
