About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours 30 minutes

If you’re like me, you recognize that we are living in incredibly challenging times. And you’re aware that black women continue to experience some of the greatest challenges in our world. However, it is clear to me that wonderful things are also happening, and great things are possible for me, for us. We have power that we may not often recognize. We black women can help change the world by changing how we feel about ourselves.

Remembering our own self-worth is one of the best things black women can do to navigate all that is going on in the world. But this requires work on our part — inner work. Doing inner work in the supportive community of other black women makes connecting with our self-love more possible. And it makes this hard and important work enjoyable. The bonus of our efforts is that, as we improve our own lived experiences, we help transform the world and improve the lived experiences of others.

In September 2020, we began offering Black Women’s Radical Self-Love (Mini) Retreats. These retreats were so transformative that we offered them again in 2021-2022, in 2022-2023, and in 2023-2024. You are warmly invited to participate in this transformative retreat series for 2024-2025. In these retreats, we’ll engage in powerful and enjoyable contemplative practices and processes with a loving and supportive group of black women, each doing their own inner work.

This is the last retreat of the 24-25 series. Details about the 25-26 series will be posted soon!
