While this retreat takes place over Mother’s Day weekend, it is lovingly created for all women. Our gatherings offer a nurturing space to honor the feminine in all its forms - a weekend of rest, connection, and support in a matriarchal haven.

Michelle Gallagher Escobar is the founder of Wild Women Hawai‘i. A longtime Hilo resident, she creates heartfelt spaces where women feel safe, seen, and free to be fully themselves.

Wild Women Hawai‘i offers retreats for women to reconnect, rest, and rise - held in safe, natural spaces where sisterhood thrives. We welcome women ages 21 and up into nurturing circles focused on emotional wellness, shared wisdom, and soulful connection with the land and each other.

Our retreats aren’t about sightseeing or hopping around Hawai‘i. Instead, we gather in one stunning location and stay rooted, allowing time to truly exhale, reconnect with ourselves, and rest deeply.

Can I just come during the day and stay somewhere else at night?

Because this is a closed retreat, we ask all guests to stay for the full experience - from welcome to closing - without coming and going. This helps create a safe, nurturing space for everyone and allows you to fully immerse in the experience.

I don't live on the Big Island. Do you offer transportation?

Yes, roundtrip shuttle service between Hilo Airport and the retreat location is included at a scheduled time.

This is my first time on the island of Hawaii. Will we explore the island?

Welcome to the Big Island! Wild Women Hawai‘i retreats are designed to help you slow down and fully settle into one serene, natural location. Rather than exploring the island, we explore within - resting, connecting, and recharging in one nourishing space.

Who typically attends your retreats?

Most of our guests are between 35 and 65, though we lovingly welcome those both younger and older.

Can I bring a child or teenager if she is mature for her age?

Wild Women Hawai'i offers retreats for women 21 years of age and over. This rule is out of consideration and respect for everyone.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely! Many women come solo and leave with lifelong friends. Whether you're coming alone or with loved ones, you'll feel right at home.

Regardless of your beliefs, age, culture, ethnicity, or lifestyle, you are welcome with the understanding of our purpose and the agreement to show mutual respect and kindness for one another. We realize women's essential need for sisterhood, wellness, and connection is not limited to Hawai'i alone. Whether you're from Hawai'i or beyond, our doors are open to all women who share our purpose and understanding that our retreats are not designed for exploration of the island. Instead, we settle into one amazing natural location and sink into ourselves for the entire event.
