Note: Early application ($55) ends on January 31 at 11:59pm PST. You must complete your application before that time. If you do not, you will need to request a refund of your early application fee and submit the full $70 application fee to complete your application between February 1 and February 15.
The 2025 Clarion Workshop will take place on the campus of UC San Diego from June 29 to August 9, 2025.
This page is to process your application fee for the Clarion Workshop. Admittance to the workshop is not guaranteed. Every year, we can only offer 18 writers (out of the many excellent applicants) a place in the Clarion Workshop. After submitting your application fee, you will receive instructions on completing the full application, including submitting two writing samples.
Established in 1968, the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop is the oldest workshop of its kind and is widely recognized as a premier proving and training ground for aspiring writers of fantasy and science fiction.
