Anjana is a dance influencer & choreographer all the way from Australia! She has 1.2M followers on Instagram (anjanac_choreo) and almost 700K subscribers on YouTube!
Anjana’s journey began with Bharatanatyam, but as she grew, so did her passion for diverse dance forms. She explored everything from Mohiniyattam to contemporary dance, blending her Australian and Indian identities. This path of self-discovery led her to create BollySiren, a dance style that celebrates cultural fusion and individuality, allowing South Asian women to express themselves freely and unapologetically. Anjana also choreographed and assisted in the creative direction for Kayar’s hit single ‘Safari,’ which garnered almost 40 thousand views on YouTube alone.
In addition to her dance career, Anjana has acted in two Malayalam movies, Kurukshetra and Crossroads, both led by a team of industry leaders. In Crossroads, Anjana, a native of Australia, showcased her talent by performing with live-sync audio and mastering a dialect specific to Northern Kerala. She has also acted in a short film that earned a spot at the Sun Dance Film Festival. Anjana enjoys both film and theatre!
Through workshops, performances, and social media, she sparks conversations and challenges societal norms about female expression and empowerment. Her story is about rewriting the narrative of identity, empowerment, and inclusivity.
