About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

As creatives, we weren’t taught how to fit into an environment where practically no one understands or appreciates just what it is that we do, let alone the value we bring. And guess what, this is a “you problem” - not a “they problem.” This session will talk through your value proposition, what’s going on in the business of creative services, and how to fit in and get what you want out of your job without compromising your creative and professional integrity.

Oh, and by the way, since in-house teams are multidisciplinary - and the emphasis is on multi - if you’re an account or project manager, copywriter, ops expert, video editor, etc., etc. you belong in this session too.

In-house invangelist and purple-hearted in-house veteran Andy Epstein will cover 3 areas of import – the in-house value prop, factoids about our community and industry, and finally, how to adapt to and integrate into the bureaucratic, political, and sometimes dysfunctional world of organizational life.

Here are some bullet point takeaways:

  • What is a value proposition, its importance, and most importantly, how to articulate your and your team’s worth
  • What trends in the in-house community, creative services in general, and specifically in the business world are and will impact your professional life
  • Tactics from communication best practices to cultural evolution to political and strategic positioning that will support you in creating a work environment you love living in and that brings value to your host organization – a real win-win, as they say in the business world
