Resilient coders trains people of color from Boston’s low income communities for high growth careers as software engineers, and connects them with employment opportunities. Through our free nonprofit coding bootcamp, we teach more than the technical skills they need to be impossible to ignore; we present a path towards economic resiliency. We believe in social justice through economic empowerment, and in the opportunity for meritocracy in tech.

Resilient Coders trains people of color from Boston’s low-income communities for high growth careers as software engineers, and connects them with employment opportunities. Who can apply? We are inviting people of color from low-income backgrounds between the ages of 18-30, with a high school diploma or equivalency. No prior technical experience necessary. Those admitted into the training program receive a bi-weekly stipend ($500).Do I need to attend a hackathon to be considered? Yes. What is the Resilient Coders Hackathon?The hackathon is the first step of the application process, it is an opportunity for you to assess your interest in coding, and explore whether Resilient Coders Training Bootcamp is for you. During this one-day program (10am-5pm), you&#x27;ll learn some Web Development (coding) basics and explore how tech can be used to create change in your community. What happens after the Hackathon? A select number of participants will be invited to move on to the next step of the application process. Those admitted into the program will be part of the July–November 2020 cohort, with the long-term goal of being placed in a high-paid job as a software engineer.When are the hackathons? We have two hackathon days (10am-5pm), you can choose what day works best for you! Saturday, April, 18th and Saturday, May, 2nd.
