Open Law Innovation Network (OLIN), a non-profit organization that focuses on research and innovation in legal practice, law and justice; and the use of information and communication technology to improve law and justice delivery, and Lawpavilion Business Solutions Ltd. Nigeria&#x27;s leading legal technology provider are the hosts for this year&#x27;s Global Legal Hackathon Lagos event.The Global Legal Hackathon brings together representatives of law firms, corporations, non-profit organizations, universities, law schools and others to create rapid developments and technical solutions to advance the legal sector and improve access to legal services. In 2019, the hackathon held across 40 cities in 20 countries. Local teams compete for prizes and for a chance to pitch at the Finals. This year, the global finals will hold in London.The Lagos event will hold from 6th to 8th of March 2020. It will be kick-started with an Opening Ceremony - The Law and Technology Forum 1.0 on the 6th of March by 9am. This event will be more than a hackathon; a forum for critical stakeholders in Law and Technology in Nigeria to brainstorm on pain-points and resulting ideas together. The goal is that this Forum will kick start serious engagement of the legal sector with the tech eco-system. There will be presentations from leading practitioners in various fields of legal practice, particularly, from:<ul><li>Legal Practice and Alternative Dispute Resolution </li><li>The Directorate of Public Prosecution, The Ministry of Justice, Lagos State</li><li>The Judiciary </li><li>Law Enforcement </li><li>Legal Aid and</li><li>Regulators (CAC, Lands, Probates, etc)</li></ul>These presentations while they will enlighten and inspire the attendees and the public, will also help the teams participating in the hackathon to decide on what area(s) of law they will centre their solutions.This opening ceremony event is open to all interested members of the public.If you would like to compete in the Hackathon kindly visit <a href="http://bit.ly/GLHLagos2020" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">bit.ly/GLHLagos2020</a> to submit an application.Follow @glhlagos on Twitter and Instagram to catch all the buzz.
