Celebrate Share our successes from the December PI which included implementation of the Blue Water Navy Act and changes to support the revamped GI Bill.
“The work we are doing now – we are getting better,” says Dr. Paul Lawrence, a former U.S. Army captain who now serves as Under Secretary for Benefits at the Department of Veterans Affairs. “The backlog last December reached a historic low (64,783) for the number of claims over 125 days. Remember back in the day (2013), it was like 611,000? So that’s a big deal.”
Collaborate Participate in breakout session discussions, live product demonstrations, and team planning activities. The March PI Planning event is focused on remaining initiatives in the VBA FY20 roadmap and NCA strategic objectives.
Impact The outcome of the event will be committed Program Increment plans, aligning our execution and delivery to the next steps towards helping the VA provide Veterans with the benefits they have earned in a manner that honors their service.
