City of College Station is hosting its second Civic CodeFest! We look forward to hosting the smartest and the brightest tech enthusiasts.

We are excited to host CS CodeFest for the second time! CS CodeFest is a fun weekend to learn with technology and data. Participants will have fun developing innovative solutions that will be helpful to the College Station Community. In addition you will meet awesome people and make new friends. There are opportunities to learn interesting details about the City, win cool prizes and network with our sponsors. The food is on us! There will be plenty of eats and snacks available to keep you energized . We encourage you to bring your own food if you have any dietary restrictions. Make sure to bring your laptop (desktop or any tech gear you need) and valid student or government ID. Also, you can bring a pillow and blanket to get comfortable. See below for Rules and Code of Conduct for City of College Station CodeFestParticipant Requirements:<ul><li>Participants must be at least 15 years old.</li><li>A suggested team size is about 4 people. </li><li>Don't have a team? No worries! We help individuals form or join teams before the event begins.</li></ul>Event Rules<ul><li>All design elements, code, etc. for your project must be created during the event.</li><li>Participants are encouraged to use familiar tools and frameworks.</li><li>Participants may plan and discuss the problems with your team ahead of time (if on a team), but coding may not begin in advance of CodeFest. </li><li>The presenting teams are determined by an initial round of judging that will take place one hour before submissions are due.</li><li>The top ten teams will present the project in the final round of judging at the end of CodeFest. </li><li>Teams that make it to the final round will have up to 3 minutes to present their projects to the judges.</li><li>The prizes not specified for a certain placement may be awarded on the sole decision of the judges.</li><li>At least one team member must be physically present during sign-in and during presentations to the judges during the assigned time.</li><li>Projects must be submitted by 11:00am on April 5th, 2020.</li></ul>Code of Conduct<ul><li>All participants must conduct themselves professionally and adhere to the City’s policies and rules and sign CodeFest release.</li><li>Treat all CodeFest participants, sponsors, organizers and judges with respect.</li><li>Participants will be disqualified and asked to leave the venue at the City’s sole discretion if they violate any City policies or regulations, or if participants disrupt the event or exhibit any behavior that may insult, discriminate or harass anyone in any way.</li></ul>You must to sign a release and indemnification form in order to participate in CodeFest.
