Documate is excited to invite you to participate in the Global Legal Hackathon here in Los Angeles! The Global Legal Hackathon is the world&#x27;s largest legal technology innovation competition. In 2019, over 6,000 people participated across 46 cities in 24 countries. Over one weekend, ideas are formed and technology solutions are created to solve issues of business law and access to justice issues.The Hackathon kicks off in more than 50 cities across 25 countries worldwide on March 6 at 5 PM Pacific Time. The Global Legal Hackathon is positioned to be the largest event of its kind. Hosts include major multinational corporations, world-famous universities, innovative non-profit associations, and think tanks. The event engages law schools, law firms and in-house departments, legal technology companies, governments, and service providers to the legal industry globally. The best thinkers, doers and practitioners in law will come together to support a unified vision: rapid development of solutions to improve the legal industry, world-wide.Participants from all backgrounds and industries are welcome to join the Global Legal Hackathon, including law firm partner and associates, in-house counsel, IT professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and tech innovators both inside and outside of the legal industries.Teams will be developing a solution that fit into one of these two streams:<ul><li>Private benefit: The Business &amp; Practice of law (progressing the business of law); or</li><li>Public Benefit: Good government, Legal Systems &amp; A2J (facilitating access to justice)</li></ul>On Sunday evening, teams will present their solutions and a panel of judges will declare a winner. Our judges include legal tech founders, investors, and law professors. GLH2020 Schedule:<ul><li>Local Hackathon (March 6-8, 2020)</li></ul>Event Schedule: https://hosthelp.globallegalhackathon.com/article/44-hackathon-scheduleFrom March 06, 2020 to March 08, 2020, participants will participate in the Global Legal Hackathon. People will pitch ideas, form teams, and create technology-based legal solutions. At the end of the weekend, these teams will present their solutions to a judging panel. Ultimately, there will be one winning team at each location, where they will move on to the next round.<ul><li>Virtual Semi-Finals (March 22, 2020)</li></ul>On March 22, 2020, first-round winners will submit their solutions as a video demonstration to the second-round judging panel.<ul><li>GLH Final Round (May 16, 2020)</li></ul>Round-two finalists will be invited to demonstrate their technological solutions to a live panel of judges.
