EOSIO blockchain software powers fast, secure and UX and developer friendly blockchain for the deployment of decentralized applications. There are now at least 10 different public blockchains in production powered by EOSIO (suct as the Telos and EOS blockchain), each with their own governance, features, and value proposition. EOSIO is also powering enterprise use cases.WorkshopIn this full-day workshop, you will learn how EOSIO blockchain technology software work, and deploy your first smart contracts. Different deployed networks Telos and EOS will be explained and how EOSIO is flexible and powerful enough to support very flexible governance structures.The current governance failures of the EOS blockchain will be explained along with an explanation of how the flexibility of EOSIO allows other blockchains to avoid the same issue.This workshop will teach EOSIO and participants will leave understanding blockchain topics that can be applied to other blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin and others.You must be a developer to join, but no previous knowledge of C++ or EOSIO software is needed.Part 1 - understanding EOSIO<ol><li>What is EOSIO software and the Telos and EOS blockchains</li><li>Decentralized network consensus and topography</li><li>Transactions, accounts, permissions and fee model</li><li>Smart contracts</li><li>Security</li><li>Scalability and user experience</li></ol>Part 2 - writing smart contractsAs a group, we will work through several exercises to write our first smart contract. This will involve writing, building and deploying smart contracts locally and on the testnet.Pre-requisits<ul><li>Be a developer or technical professionals</li><li>Provide your Linkedin/Github to show proof of at least 6 months coding experience</li><li>Before the workshop you may want to read through a provided C++ refresher</li><li>You do NOT need to have any pre-installed software</li></ul>This event is strictly for developers with 6-months coding experience.
