<h1>About the NYC Open Data Week Event:</h1>LYLAS Labs is uniting with 50+ New Yorkers across industries on Sunday, March 1st to develop open data solutions to advance pay parity.The day-long hackathon will engage interdisciplinary teams to propose creative technical solutions to the gender pay gap as part of <a href="https://www.open-data.nyc/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NYC's annual Open Data Week.</a>LYLAS Labs hackathons are open to all participants, regardless of technical experience or subject matter expertise.<h2>Here's what you need to know about joining a LYLAS Lab hackathon:</h2>All participants will be organized into teams that span skill sets and include technical engineers from Flatiron School and an expert from our Subject Matter Sponsors. Participants will be invited to get to know their team and subject ahead of time through email and slack with access to exclusive data and information. If you would like to be part of a specific team, please let the organizers know upon registration. You will then put those ideas into a technical solution during the day long hackathon on March 1st. Participants will receive gifts, meals, and access to our sponsors.
