Organiser: Spoke & BirdSpoke & Bird is a monthly poetry night and community established in Singapore in August 2017. It features both local and international artists, mainly poets and occasionally musicians. It also has an open mic night where both emerging and seasoned poets can experiment and perform new writing. It aims to help nurture and enrich the poetry scene, in particular the spoken word poetry scene, in Singapore through open mics, feature events and workshops.Venue Sponsor: SingLit StationSingLit Station is a non-profit organisation, registered charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC). Its vision is to be a platform where readers and writers can meet.Its  mission is to grow the local literary community, by being the platform where Singaporean writers and readers meet. It aims to do this through:1) providing professional development for both established and developing writers;2) creating a one-stop portal for new and existing readers of Singaporean literature;3) building a participative community within the literary scene and the general reading population.

She also runs We, The Citizens, a newsletter covering Singapore from a rights-based perspective, and Altering States, an irregular newsletter on drug policy from a Singaporean perspective. She is a member of the Transformative Justice Collective. BANI HAYKAL As an artist and musician, his work revolves around human-machine relationships / intimacies, examining and reflecting on how tools and technologies have shaped and continue to shape our experiences from commuting to communicating, navigating places and people.Manifestations of his research culminate into works of various forms including site-responsive installations, poetry and performance. In his capacity as a collaborator and a soloist, bani has participated in festivals including Other Futures (Netherlands), MeCA Festival (Japan), Wiener Festwochen (Vienna), Media/Art Kitchen (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Japan) and Liquid Architecture (Australia / Singapore) among others. MALAIKA MFALME (Australia) Malaika Mfalme is a Tanzanian/Australian singer, songwriter, guitarist, and event producer creating on Gadigal Land (Sydney). In their mother tongue Swahili, their name translates to Angel King. Malaika writes immersive and evoking music that focuses on black love, self-acceptance, grief, and the journey of being loved and sometimes lost. Malaika’s music creates a space focused on healing with a powerful message of kindness, acceptance and reflection vibrating through every one of their sonic outputs. Mfalme’s ink-stained fingers play sweet melodic guitar alongside strikingly smooth vocals layered with a looping pedal; reminding you their name is Angel for a reason. Malaika’s debut album “Yasmin” is out and streaming now on all platforms.
