COMPLIANCE IS REQUIRED</strong></h3><h3>After registering at Eventbrite, you must register as a &quot;jammer&quot; at our <a href="https://globalgamejam.org/2020/jam-sites/indie-chill-space-de-la-salle-university-laguna-campus" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Global Game Jam Venue Site</a>!</h3><h3>====================================================================================</h3><h2>What is it?</h2><p>Global Game Jam (GGJ) is an annual worldwide game development hackathon where  participants rush to quickly design, develop, and present a game from the ground up within only 48 hours. The game must follow or revolve around a given theme presented at the start of the game jam and must be submitted before the time limit runs out. After submission, each group will showcase their game and get feedback and comments on their work. Participants are allowed to collaborate with each other in a team, or they can even work alone. Prior game development experience is not required to participate in GGJ.</p><p></p><h2>Where is it?</h2><p>There are many physical, on-site locations that are hosting GGJ events, with DLSU Laguna Campus being one of them. It will be held in the George Ty Building, right where we hosted the GGJ event last year (2019). Each team will be assigned to their own designated work space in the building, where they are able to develop their projects peacefully. The work space will also be considered as their living quarters, which does not provide any beds, so bring any necessary sleeping gear to the venue.</p><p></p><h2>Why join?</h2><p>This event is meant as a meeting grounds for people from different fields and experiences to test their creativity, time-management, and critical thinking skills through game development. It is not meant to be seen as a competition, but as a collaborative space for people to express themselves creativity. The event encourages people to make new connections with others, push themselves into finishing a project without dropping it, and build confidence in themselves. It is an event that is meant to be shared and experienced with others and guarantees that each participant will have something to take away after the jam.</p>
