Tech@Católica is proud to host a Hackathon on 16th of November from 9:00 to 20:00 in partnership with Thorly and the support of the Center for Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CTIE) at Católica-Lisbon. The day will consist of understanding the basics of python and then cracking the code to figure out the challenge of researching a well known dataset, predicting a special event or even figuring out the meaning of life. Anything is possible! After participating in this event, terms like machine learning or predictive analytics will no longer be just buzzwords for you.

Do I need coding skills?NO! You can participate without any coding skills. We will give you a simple workshop where you will learn all the basics to do the work of a Data Scientist, plus every group will be partnered with a mentor who will guide you and your peers through the challenge.Do I need to bring anything?Please bring your charged laptop and your charger and your will to learn and have fun. Do I need any special tools on my laptop?Prior to the event we will share with you the necessary tools you need to have installed for the event.UPDATE: No need to install any software or check up day! We decided to go with <a href="https://colab.research.google.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Google Colab</a> as a platform, so you&#x27;ll just need to sign in with your google account!Did anyone say free drinks and food?YES! No one will suffer from hunger or thirst during the event. The ticket will work as a *deposit* that will be refunded (except the platform service fee) upon your check-in at the event.</h3>2- You can use your PayPal account or your Credit Card.3- No cash will be accepted.We can’t wait to crack the code with you!
