VR Austin is a collective of the best and brightest virtual reality developers in Central Texas. We meet bi-monthly for demos, brews, networking, and sharing information in the VR space. It’s time to JAM!The VR Austin Jam brings local, national, and international creators together to collaborate on new AR/VR content every fall. Over the course of a weekend attendees will create new VR/AR experiences in teams or as individuals, and we’ll show off completed projects to the public at the Showcase on Monday evening.This year VR Austin is headed back to campus for the FIFTH annual VR Austin Jam! DETAILS- Your ticket will reserve a spot at a table to do development at the VR jam and includes lunch and dinner Saturday &amp; Sunday as well as access to the Showcase Monday evening.- This is a community event. Let&#x27;s mix it up! Please don&#x27;t bring teams of more than 4 people per company/employer.- Bring your own PC/setup! A beefy desktop is encouraged, and if you have a VR headset, please bring it along with any other required peripherals. You will be able to iterate much more quickly with a headset plugged into your PC. If you need to borrow a computer or a headset for the jam, let us know ASAP-- we will have a small amount of lendable hardware available.- We will be providing tables and chairs, but you will be sitting/developing for a significant amount of time, so don’t be embarrassed to bring your own mega-comfy chair- If you have extra VR headsets/HMDs and are willing to share, please let us know!- Bringing along some extra ethernet cables, power strips, and cords can&#x27;t hurt!- We love to see your photos/tweets/snapchats! Please be sure to add #vraustinjam2019 so we can check out your progress and goofy momentsFAQDo I need a team to attend? - No. Usually teams consist of 2-4 people, but we’ve also had people create individual projects. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet other attendees and form teams at the event if you’d like to work with new people!How long should my game/experience be? - Shorter experiences are always better. We recommend aiming for a 3-4 minute experience. Since we have a limited number of VR headsets, we can only allow demos under five-minutes at the showcase party.Can we bring existing content? - You can absolutely use existing content / art / designs / full projects that already exist!
