YOUR SEAT IS NOT OFFICIALLY RESERVED UNTIL YOU RSVP HERE:https://generalassemb.ly/education/project-by-project-la-presents-2019-project-lead-community-hackathon/los-angeles/87258About This Event:Project LEAD which stands for “Leaders Empowering Action Day,” is a one-day event that brings together over 100 individuals with various skill sets to accomplish one shared goal: to use their expertise in brainstorming actionable and innovative solutions addressing business issues faced by community nonprofits.In true hackathon fashion, teams will work on solutions to these real-life issues in only three hours, while making a lasting impact on their local communities. The event features guest speakers, a panel of judges, and a group of strategic advisers to support volunteer consultant project teams in solving problems faced by nonprofits.Project LEAD is aimed for professionals across disciplines (finance, project management, operations, marketing, human capital management, etc.) to work directly with nonprofits on issues or projects where they can provide value. Our hope is this will inspire attendees to volunteer, donate or otherwise be more engaged in the community. The participating nonprofit organizations, all from the Greater Los Angeles community, will provide a challenge statement on a particular issue or project for the “hackers” to address and develop a solution within 3 hours.At Project LEAD, companies will have the opportunity to showcase their brand &amp; company’s commitment to the community, as well as gain exposure and access to a network of diverse working professionals and the non-profit community.Agenda:9:30am-10am: Registration and Breakfast10:00am - 10:45am: Opening Remarks, Keynote Speaker, and Project LEAD Participant Challenge Statements10:45am-2:30pm: Hackathon (Lunch will be provided)2:30pm-3:30pm: Hacker Presentations and Demos3:30pm-3:45pm: Judges Deliberation and Presentation from Project by Project3:45pm-4pm: Awards Ceremony and Closing Remarks4pm: Networking Happy Hour (Location TBD)About Our Partners:Project by Project | http://projectbyproject.org/Project LEAD | https://projectlead-pbpla.wixsite.com/projectleadla2018Parking Suggestions:The best parking structure to use is at 350 E. 2nd Street. It is directly next door (to the right) of our building. The cost is $2.00/15 min ($10 max), $5.00 flat rate after 4pm. Once you enter the building, please check in with the security guard and head to the 4th floor for General Assembly.
