VOLUNTEER Special Olympics Utah Snowshoe Invitational

Special Olympics Utah is a chapter of Special Olympics International. The Utah Chapter was established in 1971 and is a registered 501(C)(3) non-profit Utah corporation, operated by Utahns for Utah’s citizens with intellectual disabilities.Our mission:To provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts and skills with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

<H2><STRONG>Join us for a fun day of activity, sport, and friendly competition while enjoying the beauty of the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center!</STRONG></H2>
<P>Snowshoeing is quickly becoming a favorite for outdoor winter activity. Combining aerobic activity with ease of walking over snow without sinking in, snowshoeing is an activity for all ages. Special Olympics encourages its athletes to get out and be active year-round. Snowshoeing is one of the easiest and safest winter activities to enjoy with fellow athletes, family and friends.</P>
<P>Volunteers will be onsite to support our amazing Utah Snowshoeing Athletes and Unified Partners before, during and after the event through Event Setup, Registration and Event Teardown. Your support as a volunteer is vital to the success of these Games.</P>
