SBU Create-A-Thon is an intense 22-hour event open to anyone interested into turning an idea into reality.

SBU Create-a-thon: AboutSBU Create-A-Thon is an intense 22-hour event where local entrepreneurs, developers, designers, marketers, product managers, startup enthusiasts and anyone interested in turning an idea into a reality will come together to share ideas, form teams, and launch an idea. No matter what your background is, everyone is guaranteed to be leave the event better prepared to navigate the chaotic, but fun, world of innovation and startups. Expect to learn skills far outside your usual 9-to-5. If you want to spend 24 hours as a powerful creator, save the date for the best weekend of your life! This is for all ideas (both Nonprofits and For-Profit). AgendaBeginning with a Friday night keynote speaker, continuing Saturday with mentor meetings, attendees will develop your idea further to pitch Saturday night against other business ideas. Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. All teams hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurs. The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education.
